How to Apply
What is the 2026 Extraordinary Regularization?
Immigration Ammnesty in Spain 2026 Update
The Regularización Extraordinaria or Spain Migrant Amnesty has finally been approved. The application period will open on Thursday, April 16th. The in-person service is scheduled to begin on April 20th. It will close on June 30th. This Royal Decree is a special, one-time process designed to “set the counter to zero” for people living in Spain without legal documents. The goal is to provide legal safety, recognise the rights of residents already integrated into Spanish communities, and ensure everyone can work and pay taxes legally.
The Extraordinary Regularization will grant legal residency and work permits to approximately 500,000 people currently living in the country. This initiative follows a historic “Citizens’ Legislative Initiative” (ILP), which was supported by over 700,000 signatures and a large majority in Congress.
This guide explains the rules, requirements, and dates you need to know for the Spain Immigration Amnesty in 2026.
